Terms of Service

Last updated October 17, 2026

Who we are

Repo Explainer (the “Service”) is run by ParqueMedia LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company (“we” or “us”). By signing in or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Disclaimer and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old and located in the United States. The Service is offered only in the United States.

AI features require signing in with GitHub. Free credits are only available to GitHub accounts that are at least 30 days old.

What the Service does

Repo Explainer uses AI to explain public GitHub projects and single files you paste. Answers are created automatically and can be wrong or incomplete. They are not a security audit, a professional code review or legal advice. Please read the Disclaimer.

Credits and plans

Free: 3 credits per day per GitHub account. Free use also has a shared daily limit, so free credits may be unavailable on busy days. We may change free limits at any time.

A tour costs 1 credit. A lens, a question or a paste check costs 2 credits.

Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred and do not roll over.

Pro: Pro is not available yet. When it launches, it will cost $15 per month plus any applicable tax and include 300 credits per billing period. Pro renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Manage, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. We will give at least 30 days’ notice before any price change takes effect at your next renewal. Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy.

Your content

You keep all rights to the code you paste and the links you submit. You give us permission to process them only to provide the Service. Only paste code you have the right to share. Do not paste passwords, keys or personal information. Our leak check is automatic and can miss things.

AI answers

You may use the answers for any lawful purpose. The same question can get a different answer each time. Have a qualified developer check anything important before you rely on it.

Other services

The Service relies on GitHub, OpenAI, Stripe and Netlify. Their outages and terms are outside our control. Repo Explainer is not affiliated with or endorsed by GitHub, OpenAI or Stripe.

Suspension and ending access

We may limit, suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or if needed to protect the Service or other users. If we end a paid plan without cause, we will refund the unused part of your current billing period.

No warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or code. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $15.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, except where your local law gives you rights that cannot be waived.

Changes

We may update these Terms. We will change the date at the top, and for important changes we will tell signed-in users on the site. Using the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
